We're aware that some icons were missing from Talos ATS on 01/08/2025 - this was due to a brief outage on Font Awesome, which affected sites worldwide. The outage was due to an expired SSL certificate on a Font Awesome internal service. The renewal process had a small bug (it wasn’t reloading the server config after installing the new cert) and the appropriate monitoring was not in place to catch the failure.

Two key improvements have been made to prevent this in future:

• Daily config reloads to ensure new certificates are always active.
• Better monitoring to alert us immediately if there’s a problem with this internal system in the future.
